  • Lexare Ramos is a London-born craftsman with a background in applied arts. Passionate about form and material, he designs and handcrafts furniture using wood, metal, and glass. In 2021, he founded CHEK Concepts to create timeless, functional pieces that people love to live with.

Inspired by Scandinavian and Japanese design, his work is defined by minimalist elegance and meticulous craftsmanship. He believes that how a piece is made is just as important as the design itself, ensuring that every object stands the test of time—crafted today, cherished for generations.

At the heart of his process is a belief in simplicity: that less can create more. He takes great pride in traditional craftsmanship, where attention to detail and quality of finish set each piece apart. Every creation is a balance of aesthetics, functionality, and durability.

For Lexare, design, sustainability, and craftsmanship go hand in hand. He is committed to responsible material choices and rejects throwaway culture, creating long-lasting alternatives in a world of overconsumption. At CHEK Concepts, every piece is designed with longevity in mind, reflecting a simple philosophy:

    “Sustainable living is made beautifully.”

  • At CHEK Concepts, we create high-quality furniture and accessories that blend design, sustainability, and craftsmanship. More than just making furniture, we craft objects that people love to live with—pieces that bring beauty, function, and meaning to everyday spaces.

Our work is driven by a deep appreciation for materials and a passion for traditional craftsmanship. We believe that great design, sustainable practices, and skilled craftsmanship should work in harmony, with quality as the foundation that ties them together.

We are drawn to a community of like-minded individuals—craftspeople, designers, and customers—who share our values of thoughtful design, sustainable living, and timeless craftsmanship. Through our beliefs and practices, we aim to make a positive impact on both people and the planet.

Simply put, we are mindful designer-makers who care deeply about the environment and the objects we create.

  • At CHEK Concepts, craftsmanship is at the heart of everything we create. We honor traditional carpentry techniques, ensuring that our furniture and accessories are built to last. While high-quality craftsmanship can be labor-intensive and costly, we balance this by producing in small batches—keeping costs manageable without compromising on quality.

Our guiding principle is D-S-C: Design, Sustainability, and Craft. Every piece we make is thoughtfully designed for sustainable living and crafted with care. We believe in creating furniture that is not only beautiful but also multigenerational—designed to be cherished today and inherited by future generations.

Minimalism and simplicity are central to our philosophy. By keeping our designs and processes intentional and refined, we address both people’s needs and environmental concerns. Sustainability is woven into every step of our process, from material selection to minimizing waste. Every off-cut is carefully repurposed, transforming remnants into new, meaningful objects.

We hold ourselves to the highest standards, guided by our motto: “CHEK 1, CHEK 2.” This commitment ensures that every product meets our rigorous expectations.

All our pieces are handcrafted locally in Stockholm and Tystberga (Silent Mountain), using age-old techniques in wood joinery, glassblowing, and metalwork. With every creation, we craft with the future in mind.

  • At CHEK Concepts, we are deeply mindful of the impact we leave behind. From our ideas to our materials and processes, every choice we make affects future generations. Sustainability is not just a practice—it’s a way of living.

We believe that when we take from nature, we must give back. That’s why we work with like-minded partners who share our commitment to responsible sourcing and sustainability. Every piece we create is designed to endure, becoming a multi-generational object rather than a disposable product.

To minimize waste, we design with intention, respecting the natural limits of our materials. Our minimalist approach ensures sustainability is embedded in every step, reducing environmental impact while maintaining timeless beauty. Any wood off-cuts are repurposed into accessories, prototypes, or personal projects. As a last resort, leftover wood is used to heat homes—never wasted.

“It hurts me to see wood thrown away.”

We source materials as locally as possible to reduce our carbon footprint, only using FSC-certified wood and working with responsible suppliers. By building relationships with partners who prioritize sustainability, we ensure transparency in our sourcing and a deeper understanding of our materials’ environmental impact.

At CHEK Concepts, every decision is made with the future in mind—crafting responsibly today to protect tomorrow.
